Introduction and Family Update:

Hey everyone, Scott Westhoff here. Just a quick note—I’m a proud father of eight amazing kids and married to the most wonderful woman, Tamera. Today’s special for me because it’s the Sabbath.

Name Change for the Vlog:

I’ve been thinking about the name "Captain’s Log" for the vlog, and after a great conversation with my wife, I realized it needs a change. I’m not a ship captain or a pilot—I’m a farmer and a gardener, so it’s time to make the name reflect that.

Ending Contention in Our Lives:

Today’s topic is something close to my heart: ending contention in our lives and homes. I’ve been working on this personally, taking time to meditate, calm down, and accept myself just as I am.

Finding Peace Through Faith:

What helps me the most is picturing myself in the arms of Jesus, knowing He accepts me as I am and encourages me to move forward. This has been a big part of reducing contention in my life.

Reflecting on the Sabbath:

I’m thankful for the Sabbath—it’s a day to learn, grow, and find peace. It’s also a reminder that, just like Pedro, the farmer in Puerto Rico says, "the farm is a reflection of the farmer," and I’m striving to be the best farmer I can be.
