This topic comes from a recent conversation my daughter had at school. She told her classmates that she doesn’t believe in Jesus, and they responded with, “What keeps you from doing wrong?”
Her answer was that she doesn’t need to believe in Christ to live a good life—and she’s right.
For me, however, faith has been a transformative force. My belief in Jesus has given me purpose, helped me see his hand in my life, and inspired me to become more compassionate and resilient.

Benefits of Religion:

Religion brings a unique structure to life that many people find grounding and supportive.
It provides a strong sense of community, which helps people feel connected and gives a sense of belonging.
Religious frameworks help us cope with life’s stressors by encouraging values like forgiveness, gratitude, and compassion.
Gratitude, in particular, has been a huge blessing for me, especially when dealing with challenges like depression.

Overcoming Challenges and Personal Growth:

Life brings trials, and religion helps me see these obstacles as refining experiences that make us stronger and wiser.
Just like running water purifies itself, life’s struggles help shape us into better people.

Benefits of Education:

Education is incredibly valuable, and I believe it’s essential for personal growth and economic stability.
It can reveal our strengths and passions. For me, discovering my entrepreneurial side has been fulfilling and has helped me take control of my future.
Education broadens career opportunities and provides tools for financial stability. While college was challenging, it taught me perseverance.
Even without a formal education, people can succeed. Education opens doors, but hard work is also a powerful teacher.

Examples of Education's Power:

I shared a story about a maid who documented her observations of ants, eventually publishing a scientific article. Her curiosity and persistence led to unexpected success, showing that education can come from any life situation.
Education helps our economy and promotes equality by offering opportunities for everyone, especially in places like the U.S., where education is available to all.

Religion and Education Together:

I believe that combining faith and education can amplify critical thinking, self-worth, and resilience.
Learning in a faith-based setting, for instance, motivates us to strive for excellence, not just for personal gain, but also to honor a higher purpose.
When we work from a place of love and purpose, we bring our best efforts to whatever we do, whether it’s our job, homesteading, or helping our community.
